4.4 Registration Mark Distance Adjustment
The distance between registration marks can be adjusted automatically. If 5 mm was selected for CUSTOM,
for example, and the distance between registration marks was read as 312 mm, any distance less than 5
mm is rounded off to the nearest whole number. In this case, the distance between the registration marks is
assumed to be 310 mm and distance adjustment is performed accordingly.
(1) Press the
[PAUSE] key
to select PAUSE mode.
(2) Press the
[NEXT] key
repeatedly until the following menu is displayed.

(3) Press the
[F1] key
(MARK) to display the registration mark functions selection menu.

(DIST ADJ) to display the registration mark distance adjustment menu.

For manual distance adjustment, press the
[F2] key
(USER).
For custom distance adjustment, press the
[F3] key
(CUSTOM).
For automatic distance adjustment, press the
[F4] key
(STANDARD). The distance adjustment value is rounded up
or down to the nearest 5 mm, 10 mm, or 50 mm according to the registration mark distance setting.

(1) Perform registration mark detection. (See Section 4.13, "Registration Mark Detection".
(2) After detection of the number of points set in the registration mark mode has been performed, the menu shown
below is displayed.

The

rst line (M) shows the distance between points 1 and 2 as read by the plotter. Input the actual
distance (the data distance) in the second line (S). Use the

to change the numeric value. When the
displayed setting is satisfactory, press the
[ENTER] key
.
If the value you input is exceedingly large (1.5 times or greater) or very small (0.5 times or less), or if the angle of tilt
with respect to the original axis tilt is 45° or greater, the following prompt is displayed. In this case, please re-input
the value.
