9 TROUBLESHOOTING
9.2 Media Loading Operations

Solution
When the media was
loaded, the pen block
hits to the right side
panel, and then the
Y position alarm is
displayed.
or
When the media was
loaded, the pen block
hits to the left side panel,
and then the Y position
alarm is displayed.
Is the Y flexible cable securely
connected to the main board and the
Y relay board?
Confirm the Y flexible cable is connecting
to the connector of Y relay board and the
main board by the correct side, and then
reconnect the cable securely.
Is there any damage for the Y flexible
cable?
Replace the Y flexible cable if it is
damaged.
Is the Y home sensor responded
when it is tested in the sensor test in
the maintenance mode?
Replace the Y relay board if it does not
respond.
When the media was
loaded by the roll 1 or
the sheet mode, the front
of media did not detect,
and then the media
drops to the front of the
plotter.
Is the transparent media loaded?
Load the media which is not transparent.
Is the front media sensor dirty?
Clean the front media sensor.
Is the front media sensor cable
securely connected to the main board
and the sensor?
Reconnect the cable securely.
Is the front media sensor responded
when it is tested in the sensor test in
the maintenance mode?
Replace the front media sensor if it does
not respond.
When the sheet media
was loaded, the rear of
media did not detect, and
then the media drops to
the rear of the plotter.
Is the rear media sensor dirty?
Clean the rear media sensor.
Is the rear media sensor cable
securely connected to the main board
and the sensor?
Reconnect the cable securely.
Is the rear media sensor responded
when it is tested in the sensor test in
the maintenance mode?
Replace the rear media sensor if it does
not respond.
When the media loaded
by the ROLL 1 or the
SHEET mode, it does
not scan for the front
edge of media.
Is the media detection function the
disabled?
Set the media detection function to the
enable.
MENU --> ADV. --> page 4/4 --> 1
MEDIA SENSOR --> 1 ENABLED
When the media loaded
it does not scan the push
roller position.
Is the push roller detection function
setting to disable?
Set the push roller detection function to
the enable.
MENU --> ADV. --> page 4/4 --> 2 PUSH
ROLLER SENSOR --> 1 ENABLED
