Using REV media
Inserting a REV disk
1.To insert a disk in the REV drive, insert the disk in the direction
indicated by the arrow on the front of the disk and push firmly until
it clicks into place.
2.Wait a few seconds for the disk to be mounted. The indicator light
blinks blue.
A steady blue light indicates the disk is ready for use. When
recording, the indicator light is red.
Ejecting a REV disk
1. To eject the disk, push the eject button and wait for the system to eject the disk. Do
not interrupt the power supply until the disk has been ejected.
Emergency disk eject procedure
1. Disconnect the battery and turn off the power.
2. Insert a long metal pin, such as a paperclip, into the disk eject hole on the REV drive.
3. Push firmly until the REV disk is extruded.
4. Pick up the disk and gently pull it out of its drive.
CAUTION: Never use this emergency procedure while the power is on. Never force a disk in or out of
the REV drive; this could damage both drive and disk.
Using CompactFlash cards
Inserting a CompactFlash card
To insert a CompactFlash card into slot CF1 or CF2:
1.Insert the card and push firmly until it clicks into
place. The blue indicator light starts flashing.
When the card is ready to use, the indicator light
displays a steady blue color. When recording, the
indicator light is red.
