Control Surface Troubleshooting
If the fans are running and the frame still overheats, do the following:

Check and clean the removable air filter (see
•
Check that there is sufficient room for air intake on the left side of the
chassis and air exhaust on the right.
•
Make sure the front door of the frame is kept closed at all times during
operation for proper air circulation.
No DC Power to Frame Component
DC power from the Video Processor frame power supplies is distributed to
each Frame module via the motherboard. Power status LEDs are present on
the front of each module (refer to
). Each module is fused for a high current condition
to prevent fire. If a module fuse is blown, replace the entire module.
Control Surface Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing functional difficulty with one of the control panels
in the Zodiak control surface, refer to the procedures below.
Main Panel Troubleshooting
The Main panel buttons and displays illuminate when the system is oper-
ating properly (there is no lamp saver or sleep mode).
Basic Functionality Checks
Perform the steps below in the order presented to check basic functionality
of the Main panel.
1.
Open the Main panel lid and reset the Main panel processor by pressing
the
RT Reset
button inside the Main panel (rightmost button) shown in
.

Check status indicators inside the Main panel.

Check the status indicators on the Control Panel Processor board

). The board is protected by a metal cover.
Indicators are provided outside the cover along the front edge of
the board.
The Control Panel Processor board distributes the +12V and +5V
from the Main panel power supplies to the Main and Menu panels.
