Video Processor Frame Modules
Still Store Effects
The Zodiak Still Store is internal to the system and provides two video
inputs and four outputs. Inputs and outputs are internal Zodiak system
sources, which can be mapped to any desired Source Select buttons.
The storage information is contained in one standard DIMM socket which
can store up to 100 frames of video.
Supported Still Store features are:

Two inputs and four outputs,
•
Outputs video or key,
•
100 frames of live frame memory, and
•
Upload/download stills in multiple formats (uncompressed format,
TIFF files, and AVI movies).
DSK
The DSK section of the module performs the mix between the two back-
ground videos and up to three simple downstream keyers. The down-
stream keyers can operate as external or self keys with full clip and gain
and linear or non-linear shaping.
The outputs from the DSK are fed to two dedicated Program (PGM A and
B) and two dedicated Preview (PVW A and B) output BNCs on the rear of
the switcher frame. Clean feed configuration of both Program outputs can
be defined in the DSK menu in the Zodiak Menu Panel application.
Tally Outputs
The Tally section of the module provides 32 output relays that interface
Zodiak source tally status to an external tally system. The tally outputs are
fed to a 37-pin D connector labeled Tally (J2) on the rear of the frame. Tally
configuration is part of source definition that is done in Engineering Setups
in the Zodiak Menu application.
GPI Inputs and Outputs
Eight GPI relay outputs and eight optically isolated GPI inputs are con-
trolled by this module. Access to the GPI inputs and outputs is through the
37-pin D connector labeled GPI (J1) on the rear of the frame. GPI parame-
ters are set up using the Zodiak Menu panel application.
Tally relays for both tally and GPI outputs are fused with a single 5A, 250V
fuse on the Control Processor/DSK/Still Store module.
