Touch the Assigned Serial Port data pad to bring up the Port

In the Physical Serial Port Assignment pane, touch the serial port the
DDR is connected to on the rear of the Video Processor frame. The name
of the DDR should now appear next to the serial port.
The Baud Rate and Parity are set in system software to defaults of
38.4k
Baud and
Odd
parity.

in the lower right to return to the DDR Details menu.
Note
If you wish to edit the Device Type, you must delete the device by touching
Remove Device and begin again. A defined Device type cannot be edited.
Once the DDR has been defined and configured in the Ports & Devices
menu, it can be connected to an external input BNC then configured as a
switcher source in the Eng Setup, Sources menu. Basic transport functions
(Rewind, Play, Stop, Fast Fwd) can be controlled from the Zodiak Menu
application and switcher E-MEM with the External Devices menu. Refer to
the Zodiak User Manual for operation instructions.
The E-MEM level of the external device must be defined in the E-MEM
Prefs menu (
). Access this menu by touching
