Peripheral Bus II
Kaleidoscope Peripheral Bus II Control
The Zodiak system can control a Kaleidoscope DPM system using Periph-
eral Bus II control.
Capabilities
The Zodiak interface with Kaleidoscope supports Learn and Recall opera-
tions. When a register is learned on Zodiak, the current Kaleidoscope effect
number can be learned. Recalling that Zodiak register will then Recall and
Run the Kaleidoscope effect.
Kaleidoscope Peripheral Bus II Control
Requirements
The Kaleidoscope system must be equipped with the Serial I/O option.
Control Cabling
Connect the Kaleidoscope System Controller Editor Port with a standard
RS-422 9-pin serial cable to any unused serial port (Serial 1 – Serial 4) on the
rear of the Zodiak Video Processor frame (
Kaleidoscope Configuration
Specific settings are required on the Kaleidoscope system for Peripheral
Bus II control (
Limitations
No triggers are supported, and Recall always runs the Kaleidoscope effect.
