Section 5 — Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

Reformatting the Video Processor frame hard drive and restoring
default IP addresses,
•
Restarting Windows 2000,
•
Reinstalling the Zodiak software,
•
Verifying or changing Windows 2000 TCP/IP settings to default value,
•
Setting the Menu panel default IP addresses in the Eng Setups menu,
•
Verifying overall system operation,
•
Reloading configuration files (if possible), and
•
Reconfiguring IP addresses to match Facility IP addresses (if appro-
priate).
Save Files to Zip Disk
If you still have communication between the Menu panel and the Video
Processor frame, save any configuration files to Zip disk if you have not
done so already (see
).
Disconnect From Network
This recovery procedure will restore the Zodiak Main panel and Video Pro-
cessor frame to factory default IP addresses (
Zodiak system is connected to your facility network and these default
addresses will cause conflicts, disconnect the Zodiak from the main
network before proceeding.
Shut Down Windows 2000
If the Zodiak application is still running on the Menu panel, shut it down
by touching the top right banner. If Windows 2000 is running on the Menu
panel, press the
Start
button and shut down the computer.
Reformat Main Panel Hard Drive and Restore IP Addresses
Refer to
while performing the following instructions:
1.
Open the Main panel and locate the rotary Boot Switch and the Main
panel reset button (labeled
RT Panel Reset
).
2.
Set the Main panel rotary Boot Switch to
1
(it should currently be set to
0
{zero} for normal operation).
