VTR Configuration
VTR Configuration
VTR devices communicate with the Zodiak system from a serial connection
on one of the four serial ports on the rear of the Video Processor frame.
Connect the VTR with a standard RS-422 9-pin serial cable to any unused
serial port (Serial 1 – Serial 4) on the rear of the Zodiak Video Processor
frame (
) with the pinout described in
Define the VTR as an external device in the Eng Setup, Ports & Devices
menu as follows:

In the Eng Setup, Ports & Devices menu touch
New Device
in the Edit
Device List data pad at the bottom left.

Touch
VTR
from the Device type list. The
BVW-75
protocol (the only one
available) is automatically selected(

Touch the Device Name data pad to bring up the alphanumeric keypad
and assign a name of up to 12 characters for the VTR device.
