Tally Contribution
Tally Contribution
Contribution tally information is available in serial format from any one of
the four serial ports (Serial 1 – Serial 4) on the rear of the Video Processor
frame. This output reports all tally information from the switcher. An
external device can be programmed to interpret this information for the
desired type of tally reporting.
Connect the external tally device with a standard RS-422 9-pin serial cable
to one of the unused serial ports on the rear of the Zodiak Video Processor
frame (

To configure a serial port to output Tally Contribution information, do the
following:
1.
Touch the
(Tally Contribution)
button in the Device List in the Eng Setup,
). The Device Name will default to
Tally Contribution and cannot be renamed or removed.

Touch the Assigned Serial Port data pad to bring up the Port
Configuration menu.
3.
Touch the serial port to which you have connected the external tally
device. This will assign it as the Tally Contribution output.
