GR-18 FLIGHT CONTROLLER
The GR-18 receiver provides three axes stabilization for airplanes as
well as flybarless control for helicopters. The GR-18 receiver also
provides real-time telemetry information of altitude, signal quality,
temperatures and receiver voltage when using a Graupner HoTT radio.
This document describes only the multicopter software update which
will convert the GR-18 receiver into a multicopter controller. After the
update the airplane and helicopter mode will be disabled but can be
restored after updating the GR-18 receiver with the proper software.
After the update your GR-18 receiver can control the following
multicopter setups.
Quad X, Quad +, Hexa V, Hexa I, Tri L, Tri R.
The GR-18 controller has two build in flight modes to enable different
flight responses to your multi-multicopter. The GR-18 controller is also
very easy to setup and requires minimal wiring and configuration. All
multicopter related settings can be done directly from your Graupner
HoTT radio using the over-the-air HoTT transmission. No computer or
configuration boxes are needed during setup and installation!
To activate the multicopter functions on the GR-18 a firmware update
is needed. The firmware update procedure can be found near the end
of this document.
The GR-18 is one of the most advanced and most capable 2.4 GHz receivers
on the market. To ensure safe operation you must read this user manual
and the safety notes before using this product!
