Configuration of the machine
The configuration of the machine is necessary only if you want that the chips
collector IS is automatically driven by the machine.
GravoTech M20/M40 machines
For the GravoTech M20/M40 machines, the VACUUM CLEANER function must be programmed before using
the chips collector.
Access to the menu for activation of the "Inputs/Outputs" function is through the engraving software installed on
your PC.
Four Inputs (I1 to I4) and four Outputs (O1 to O4) could be defined.
1.
Select "Vacuum cleaner" for the Output O1 in order to activate the "Chips collector"
function of the GravoTech M20/M40 machines.
IS machines
(IS400 machines, IS6000-IS7000-IS8000 and IS6000 XP-IS7000 XP-IS8000 XP machines)
Before using the chips collector IS on the IS machines, some of the Inputs/Outputs must be defined from the
GravoStyle 5 engraving software in the Postprocessor of the machine IS used.
It is also necessary to activate the "AUTOMATE" function of the firmware from the control panel of the
IS machine.
The procedure to follow to modify the postprocessor is :
Only Gravograph Technicians are qualified to modify the postprocessor of the
machines IS.
1.
From GravoStyle 5, open the postprocessor of the machine IS used.
2.
Define the Inputs and the Outputs :
IN1=0
IN2=0
IN3=0
IN4=0
OUT1=10
OUT2=0
OUT3=0
OUT4=0
The other Inputs/Outputs can be different from 0. It is the case when another
accessory installed on the machine IS, use also the function "Automate".
3.
Close by saving the postprocessor.
The procedure to follow to activate the "AUTOMATE" function is :
1.
Switch on the machine IS (switch in position 1).
A first message will be displayed on the screen :
Boot Program X.X

or
LCD SOFT X.X
MCF 52.06 BOOT X.X
