93-30 Line Splitter

15 A Maximum Current

The Line Splitter is used to expand the use
of a clamp-on meter, simplifying
measurements involving 2-wire appliances.

Plug the line splitter into a power outlet and
connect the appliance to the receptacle into
line splitter.

Note:  Always measure current at the X1
segment first. If the current is too low to
generate an accurate reading on the clamp-
on ammeter, move the clamp-on ammeter to
the X10 segment. The meter reading will be
ten times the actual current.

Current
Measurements

Clamp a
clamp-on
ammeter
around the
appropriate
segment.

Voltage
Measurements

Connect a volt
meter to line
splitter terminal
jacks.
