Float position
•
This is always used in connection with mounted tools that
move along the ground
•
It is always recommended to use the float
•
position in connection with AHC (Auto Height Control)
.
Mode of operation
The lifting cylinder of the arm opens up to a hydraulic
accumulator which makes the entire arm move in a slightly
‘springy’ way, allowing the tool to dodge for 10-15 cm up and
down - and thereby avoid bumps. This protects the arm as the
weight of the rear roller is reduced - and it allows the head to
better follow the small irregularities in the contour of the
ground when driving forward
.
Operating the float position of the head
To select float for the head
:
•
First, lower the cutting head to the ground
•
Now press the button. The entire arm will move in a
slightly ‘springy’ way
•
AHC (Auto Height Control) can now be activated.
If driving
without
the AHC system, the height of the head must
be controlled from the joystick in the cabin
.
The cutting head will follow the contours of the ground, but if
the height of the road changes more than approx. 10 cm in
proportion to the verge, adjust the height of the tool by pulling
(raising) or pushing (lowering) the joystick.
Simple control of the float function
The float position system consists of a hydraulic accumulator
and an electrically operated valve. If one of the parts is
defective, a check can be done in the following way
:
•
Lower the arm and the tool to the ground and relieve the
arm 100 %
•
Now enable float position. The accumulator is now also
100 % de-pressurized
•
Disable float position
•
Raise the arm to approx. ½ meter in height
•
Press for float position again
•
The tool should now lower itself 10 - 15 cm and you will
notice a slight spring effect in the arm
If the arm does not lower itself after doing this, contact the
dealer
