AHC
Auto Height Control
AHC is used for verge and ditch mowing - it ensures that
the cutting head floats above the surface and follows the
contour of the terrain without the driver having to
maneuver the arm via the joystick. AHC can be enabled
from the cabin and the driver can concentrate on the
traffic and potential obstacles in the way.
Mode of operation
The turning knob increases the hydraulic pressure on the
raising cylinder. The more you turn the knob, the more
weight is moved from the tool onto the arm.
AHC startup
•
Lower the cutting head all the way down to the
ground
•
Press the AHC button
•
Turn the black knob back to less than 5%
(Childproofing) and then turn until the tool is raised
approx. ½ meter
•
Turn back until the tool lowers at an appropriate
"slow" speed. The lowering speed should be adjusted
to the driving speed and the terrain (if the terrain is
sloping, the tool must be lowered accordingly and at
least at the same speed).
Temporary stop and restart of AHC
If there is an obstacle (sign, driveway, tree, etc.),
the AHC can be disabled by pressing the button on the
back of the joystick once.
After the arm has been maneuvered past the obstacle,
the AHC is activated again by pressing the button on the
back of the joystick once again.
Adjustment of Auto Height Control
When moving the tool further away or closer to the tractor,
the AHC must be adjusted.
•
Stop operation
•
Turn the black knob until the tool is raised approx.
•
½ meter
•
Turn back until the tool lowers at an appropriate
"slow" speed. The lowering speed should be
adjusted to the driving speed and the terrain (if the
terrain is sloping, the tool must be lowered
accordingly and at least at the same speed).
