8. USING THE COMPUTER

NOTES
• If the computer display does not show any values, thoroughly check all plug
connections for proper contact.
• The calorie consumption values (metabolic rate) the computer calculates and
displays are intended as a rough guide, and offer the user (of medium height on
medium resistance setting) the opportunity to compare training sessions. The values
may vary from the actual, medically accurate metabolic rate.
• The computer is not calibrated, and the heart rate values it calculates and displays
are intended as a rough guide and may vary greatly from the actual heart rate.
• This computer was tested according to applicable EMC standards. Nevertheless, the
display may malfunction, especially due to electrostatic discharge. This may result
in unwanted reset or incorrect display of values. Should this happen, you need only
restart the computer (turn it off and back on).
9. OPERATION
CAUTION
•
Connect the power plug to a certified, grounded power outlet only.
• Before you start exercising, read through and follow all advices and instructions
mentioned in chapter "Training and operating instructions".
• We recommend to maintain a slow speed at the beginning of a session and hold on
to the handrails until you become comfortable and familiar with the treadmill.
• Fasten the safety key to your clothing before beginning training.
• To end your workout safely, press the
STOP
button or pull the safety key, then the
treadmill will stop immediately.
START-UP (MANUAL MODE)
1. Power on the treadmill using the power switch.
2. Connect the safety key to the computer.
3. Press the
START
button. Now the system enters into a 3 second countdown. The
buzzer emits a sound. The speed window displays the countdown. After 3 seconds,
the treadmill will start to run at a speed of 1.0 km/h.
4. After start-up, use the button
SPEED+/-
to adjust the speed.
5. You can press the
/-
button to adjust the incline.
6. Press the
STOP
button to stop the treadmill.
Note:
When holding the pulse handles with two hands for about 5 seconds, the display
will show the pulse data.
AUTOMATIC DISPLAY SHUTDOWN
• If the treadmill is in idle state and no buttons have been pressed for 10 minutes, the
display will go out in order to save power.
• To prevent accidental operation, the computer can only start by removing and
reinserting the safety key or by switching the main switch on or off.
SAFETY KEY / EMERGENCY SWITCH
Important:
Always attach the magnetic end of the safety key to the computer before you
start with the training. Fasten the safety key to your clothing before beginning training.
• If you pull the safety key during training, the treadmill will stop immediately.
• Attach the magnetic end of the safety key to the computer to continue the training.
FUSE
• In case the fuse has been triggered, push the
RESET
button.

Check if the belt is lubricated sufficiently.
•
Check if the belt's tension is sufficient.
