(4) Detach ribbon cable connector P1003 (W5) from mating connector J2003 at sweep
module and remove sweep module.
NOTE:
To gain access to component side of sweep module PCB, remove protective
cover by removing four screws. (Refer to Figure 6-2.)
C. Video/RS-170 Module Removal
(1) Position unit on its side to gain access to component side of video/RS-170 module, at
bottom of indicator. Remove two screws and washers from rear of indicator, near rear
connector J1.
(2) Loosen two captive screws on component side of video/RS-170 module and partially
remove video/RS-170 module.
(3) Detach cable connectors P104, P105 (W12) and P106 (W2) from mating connectors
J1004, J1005 and J1006 respectively, from solder side of video/RS-170 module (94).
(4) Detach ribbon cable connector P1011 (W1) from mating connector J5011 at the low
voltage power supply module (65) and P1003 (W5) from J2003 at the sweep module
(76). Remove video/RS-170 module.
NOTE:
For further disassembly of video module, refer to Figure 6-11.
D. Low Voltage Power Supply Assembly Removal
(1) Loosen captive screw at center of LVPS protective cover (64) and remove cover.
(2) At bottom of indicator, remove two screws securing LVPS heatsink.
(3) Remove cable clamp securing C5015, C5021 and C5025 to spacer (66) at center of
low voltage power supply module.
(4) Loosen three captive screws on low voltage power supply module (650) and partially
remove module.
(5) Detach ribbon cable connectors P1011 (W1) and P4012 (W4) from mating connectors
J5011 and J5012 on solder side of low voltage power supply module and remove the
module.
NOTE:
For further disassembly of LVPS module, refer to Figure 6-15 .
E. High Voltage Power Supply Assembly Removal
(1) Disconnect high-voltage lead (W11) from cathode-ray tube (73).
CAUTION:
DURING REASSEMBLY, APPLY DOW CORNING #4 COMPOUND
AROUND HIGH-VOLTAGE CONNECTOR SHELL TO PREVENT
POSSIBLE ARCING. REFER TO PARAGRAPH 4.L.
