Note:
The Radar System shall monitor SSM and only accept Normal data. All other SSM conditions will be considered a failure.
Note 1:
GAMA Standard FMS --- Labels 074 and 075 are transmitted once per flight plan (Header). Honeywell EPIC FMS ---
Labels 074 and 075 are transmitted in the header and once per frame for (SSM bits shall be set to Valid in flight plan header,
Fail Warning in frame). Header and Frames are transmitted at a 100 mSec rate.
Note 2:
GAMA Standard FMS --- Label 075 will contain the active FROM and TO waypoint numbers. The TO waypoint shall
always be one count above the FROM waypoint number. Honeywell EPIC FMS --- Label 075 is always set with FROM = 1
and TO = 2. The first reception of label 303 in Frame No. 1 will be the active FROM waypoint, and the second reception of
label 303 in Frame No. 2 will be the active TO waypoint.
Note 3:
GAMA Standard FMS --- Labels 303, 306, and 307 shall only be transmitted within the frames and shall not be transmitted
within the header. If bit 16 is set to a zero, then this data frame shall be used within the flight plan regardless if the data is a
waypoint or Station Type. Honeywell EPIC FMS --- Labels 303, 306, and 307 are transmitted in the header and frames.
The SSM bits will be set to Fail Warning or No Computed Data within the header, and set to Valid within the frames.
Honeywell EPIC FMS ---
All Waypoint/Station Types are to be displayed as waypoints (i.e., Airports, Nav Aids,
Waypoints…)
. The first label 303 in Frame No. 1 is to be the FROM waypoint regardless of the Waypoint / Station Type.
