MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
CAUTION!
- Disconnect the plug before performing any cleaning, maintenance or repair operation.
Always wear suitable clothing and working gloves.
- When the machine or part of it is lifted to carry out maintenance operations, always
remember to use suitable fixing tools such as holders and safety locks.
- When carrying out maintenance operations and/or when the machine is tilted without
safety locks or supports, never leave it unguarded in places where inexperienced people
and children could have easy access to it.
- Protect the environment: carefully dispose of used oils, petrol and any other pollutant
product!
- Effective maintenance and correct lubrication help to keep the machine fully efficient.
The tiller has been developed to require very little servicing. Nonetheless to keep the machine at
its top performances please carry out the following operations:
- Carefully follow the instructions described in the engine manual. It is necessary to check the oil
level every 8 working hours and change it about every 50 hours. Refer to the engine manual for the
kind of oil which is needed.
- Adjust the tension of the forward cable using the adjusting screw placed on the lever (fig.1 no.8).
- Clean the air filter every 4 hours (fig. 5 – fig. 5A) or more frequently in very dusty environments.
- Adjust the reverse gear cable using the appropriate adjusting screw (fig. 1, n. 3).
GEARBOX OIL
Check the level every 50 working hours (fig.7, A). The oil level must reach above the oil level cap.
Use BLASIA 220S synthetic oil quantity 250 gr. Fill the oil through the cap (fig.7, A) Replace the oil
every 100 hours.
REVERSE GEAR TRANSMISSION DEVICE
The reverse gear transmission device is made up of a belt and a pull-wheel (fig. 10). Check the
compensation spring every 50 hours. The spring must be compressed at half of its free stroke (8
mm – fig. 9).To have access to both the belt and the pull-wheel remove
the plastic covers under
the engine.
TIPPS FOR PROPER USE
1) Do not expose the machine to rain or wet conditions.
2) Never strain the engine too much. In case of excessive smoke coming out from the exhaust
pipe, the engine is under strain. Reduce speed.
4) Never work with the engine at max. rpm.
5) Remove any leaves and grass which accumulate on the grid around the engine pulley.
END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE
Wash the machine carefully and change the engine and gearbox oil. Sharpen the tines and replace
them if worn.
