Caution: if the terminal block is not connected properly (fan power supply and motor) the lamp
will switch on but the high temperature inside the lantern will activate the thermo switch. Check
that the fan works correctly to ensure the cooling of the lantern.
Fitting lamp
1) Open the mirrored wheel unscrewing the 4 knobs
located on the base of the wheel.
2) Clean the lamp with the cleaning towel and fit it
carefully in the lamp holder.
- avoid to touch the lamp with fingers or dirty towels;
- do not shake the lamp;
- position the lamp towards one of the corners of the
body, to obtain the maximum light output
3) Fix the lamp to the lamp holder, tightening the
fixing knob (including the supply cable)
4) Close the mirrored wheel tightening the fixing
knobs.
Mounting position
The HELIOS DMX can be mounted in any position; distance from flammable object must be
minimum 0.5m.
Fixing
3 Ø 12.5mm holes are provided in the fork to attach the lantern to a clamp or bracket.
Electrical connection
1) Connect the supply cable to the terminal block located on the rear side of the lantern.
2) Connect the lantern to a mains supply of 230V - 50/60Hz.
3) Ensure that the mains cable is connected to earth; the thermoswitch must have the following
electrical characteristics:
lamp 575 HMI = rated for (In) 15A - sensitivity (Id) 0,03A
lamp 1200 HMI = rated for (In) 20A - sensitivity (Id) 0,03A
USE OF THE LANTERN
Automatic function
If the lantern is not connected to a remote controller, the colours change runs automatically every
10 seconds. The movement is directly controlled by music via the built-in microphone or by a
signal cable to be connected to the relevant socket on the control panel. The microphone's sensiti-
vity is adjustable by the potentiometer.
The black-out control is made using the jack stereo plug (supplied) to be connected to the REMO-
TE 0/10V SEQUENCE socket.
