Inserting/Removing the battery
1. To insert the battery (7), place it
on the guide track (19) and push
it back into the appliance. It will
audibly snap in.
2. To remove the battery (7) from
the appliance, press the release
button (20) on the battery and
pull out the battery.
Checking the charge status of
the rechargeable battery
The state of charge display (23) signalises
the state of charge of the battery (
7).

1. Press the button (23a) on the battery
(
7). The state of charge of the bat-
tery is displayed by illuminating the
appropriate LED lights of the state of
charge display (23).
2. Charge the battery when the last LED
lamp of the charge status display (23)
turns on.
Recharging the battery
Allow a freshly charged battery (7)
to cool down for approx. 15 minutes
before inserting it into the battery
charger (16).
1. Remove the battery (7) from the
appliance, as necessary.
2. Inser the battery (7) in the charg-
ing compartment of the battery
charger (16). It will audibly snap in.

Charging the battery
Do not expose the battery to ex-
treme conditions such as heat
or impact. Risk of injury from
escaping electrolytic solution!
After eye/skin contact, rinse the
aff ected areas with water or a
neutraliser and consult a doc-
tor.
Charge the battery in a dry
room only. Prior to attaching
the charger, check that the bat-
tery‘s outer surface is clean
and dry.
There is a risk of injury due to
electric shock.
• Charge the battery before the fi rst
time of use.
• If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to
be replaced. Only use an OEM spare
battery available from our Customer
Service.
