To connect lathe to power:
1. Make sure the main power switch on the
lathe electrical cabinet is turned to the oFF
position, then open the door.
2. insert the incoming power wires through the
opening shown in
figure 23.

3. Connect the incoming hot wires to the L1,
L2, and L3 terminals, shown in figure 24.
Connect the incoming ground to the ground-
ing terminal (
pE).
4. Make sure the wires have enough slack so
they are not pulled tight or stretched.
5. Close the main electrical cabinet door.

once the assembly is complete, test run your
machine to make sure it runs properly and is
ready for regular operation.
The test run consists of verifying:
•
the motor powers up and runs correctly.
•
the motor turns in the correct direction
(machine is not wired out of phase).
•
the safety features work correctly.
•
the brake system works correctly.
•
the coolant system works correctly.
if you notice an unusual noise or vibration, stop
using the machine immediately, and remedy
before operating it further.
Test Run
before starting the lathe, make sure you
have performed the preceding assembly
and adjustment instructions, and you have
read all the documentation provided with the
lathe and are familiar with the various func-
tions and safety features on this machine.
