Replacing v-belts
Tools Needed:

2. open the end-gear cover and remove the
motor access panel (see
figure 134 on page
81).
3. adjust the hex nuts on the motor mount bolts
(see
figure 135 to raise the motor, then
remove the V-belts.
4. install the new V-belts as a matched set so
they equally share the load.
5. tension the V-belts. (refer to Tensioning
v-belts on page 81.)
6. re-install the end-gear cover and motor
access panel.
3. adjust the hex nuts on the motor mount bolts
(see
figure 135) until there is approximately

" deflection in each V-belt when it is pushed
with moderate pressure.
4. Firmly tighten the hex nuts to secure the set-
ting, then re-install the motor access panel
and close the end-gear cover.
