Test Run
Once assembly is complete, test run the machine
to ensure it is properly connected to power and
safety components are functioning correctly.
If you find an unusual problem during the test run,
immediately stop the machine, disconnect it from
power, and fix the problem BEFORE operating the
machine again. The
Troubleshooting table in the
SERVICE section of this manual can help.
DO NOT start machine until all preceding
setup instructions have been performed.
Operating an improperly set up machine
may result in malfunction or unexpect-
ed results that can lead to serious injury,
death, or machine/property damage.
Serious injury or death can result from
using this machine BEFORE understanding
its controls and related safety information.
DO NOT operate, or allow others to operate,
machine until the information is understood.
6. Press ON/OFF button on control handle to
turn feed rollers and glue spindle
ON (see
Figure 10). Turn feed-rate dial clockwise to
increase feed rate and counterclockwise to
decrease feed rate.
— If feed rollers and glue spindle rotate
smoothly, feed motor is working properly.
— If feed rollers and glue spindle do not
rotate, or they start and stop during opera-
tion, disconnect machine from power and
call Tech Support.

7. Ensure glue pot temperature on digital read-
out reaches preset temperature.
8. Press heating unit ON/OFF button ( ) to
turn unit OFF, and allow unit to cool.
Note: After glue pot reaches pre-set tem-
perature, heating unit will turn on and off
automatically during use to maintain pre-set
temperature range.
9. Turn master power switch OFF.
Congratulations! The Test Run is now complete.

To test run machine:
1. Clear all setup tools and items away from
work area.
2. Connect machine to power supply.
3. Turn master power switch ON. Digital read-
out should illuminate.
4. Press temperature setting buttons (
) to
adjust glue pot preset temperature to appro-
priate temperature for your glue.
5. Press heating unit ON/OFF Button ( ). Glue
pot indicator light ( ) should illuminate.
Note: When glue pot temperature reaches
250°F (120°C) feed roller preheat light ( )
will illuminate on control panel and green light
on feed dial handle will illuminate. Feed
rollers may now be turned
ON.
