Holds centers and tooling.
S. Quill Lock Lever: Secures quill in position.
T. Tailstock Lock Lever: Secures tailstock in
position along bedway.
U. Graduated Scale: Indicates quill movement
in increment
s of 0.001" with one full revolu-
tion equaling 0.1" of quill travel.
V. Quill Handwheel: Moves quill toward or
away from spindle.
End Gears
Configuring the end gears (shown in
Figure 6)
controls the speed of the leadscrew for thread-
ing operations, or the feed rod for power feed
operations.
