For optimum performance from your machine,
follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any
specific instructions given in this section.
Daily check:
•
loose mounting bolts.
•
any other unsafe condition.
Weekly Maintenance:
•
Clean machine.
•
lubricate gears.
•
lubricate bushings.
Schedule
Cleaning the Model t23103 is relatively easy.
periodically wipe down the machine to remove
dust and oil. treat all unpainted cast iron and steel
with a non-staining lubricant after cleaning.
cleaning
protect the unpainted cast iron surfaces on the
machine by wiping it clean after every use—this
ensures rust-promoting debris does not remain on
bare metal surfaces.
Keep the machine rust-free with regular applica-
tions of products like Slipit
®
, or Boeshield
®
t-9
(refer to
Section 5: accessories on Page 21 for
more details).
unpainted cast Iron
Lubrication
lubricating the Model t23103 consists of applying
lubricant to the gears, adjustment screws, and the
roller bushings. Wipe off the grease port shown
in
figure 39, then use a grease pump to inject
grease into the port until grease is seen bleeding
out from the gears. Wipe off the excess grease
and turn the crank several times to disperse the
grease.

Keep the threads of all adjustment knobs (see
figure 39) oiled. apply several drops of way oil
or machine oil to both ends of each roller (see
figure 40). turn the crank several times to dis-
perse the oil, and wipe off the excess.
