Refer to the following figures and descriptions to
become familiar with the basic controls and com-
ponents of this machine. Understanding these
items and how they work will help you understand
the rest of the manual and minimize your risk of
injury when operating this machine.
A. Buffing Wheel: Spins to buff workpiece.
Can be replaced with different buffing/pol-
ishing wheels for different operations and
compounds.
B. Spindle Sleeve: Secures and spins buffing
wheels. Accepts wheels up to 4

C. Brush Cap: Holds motor brush and provides
easy access for replacement.
D. Variable-Speed ON/OFF Switch: Rotates
clockwise to turn machine
ON and increase
buffing wheels up to 7000 RPM, and rotates
counterclockwise to decrease buffing wheels
down to 2000 RPM. Rotating completely
counterclockwise turns machine
OFF.
