2. Test and operation outdoors
(1)
Find plot of ground outdoors,
where there is not any metal. Put
down a sample of the object that
you want the detector to find. If
you use as a sample any valuable
object, mark the place where you
are burying it in order to find it
later.
(2)
Keep the searching coil at 2 –
5 cm above the ground and sweep
it slowly left and right over the
place that you have buried the
object.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1.
if the metal detector does not
work properly, it is possible that
the batteries are low, so you have
to recharge them. The plug of the
searching coil should not be wet,
because the detector will lose its
capacity. The plug can be used only
after it is carefully dried.
do not
use the detector when it rains
or when the sun shines too
strong.
2.
Do not near the searching coil
to ovens or other hot objects.
Every metal detector has warranty
that allows free repair until its time
limit. The warranty drops off if the
stamp is removed by the user.

Wrong signal
Radio and TV waves could disturb
your detector. To avoid them,
move at some other place, reduce
the critical sound and move slower.
Strongly mineralized soil and wet
sand usually provoke static and
clear sound from the detector. In
these cases reduce the critical
sound and continue to search.
If in the other hand you are
carrying a metal tool that you want
to use to dig the found objects, YM
203 GRIZZLY will produce sound
signal every time the searching coil
nears it. So carry the tool on your
back or on your belt.
Practice shows that you need 40 –
50 working hours with the detector
to get used to YM 203 GRIZZLY.
