Side End Bay Strut Installation

Install side struts as shown. After installing struts, drive a Tek screw through each band clamp and into the rafter pipe.

Install Tek screws in locations that will not interfere with or contact the main cover when installed. Tape over screws if

needed to protect cover material during installation. Consult additional strut details in Quick Start section of this guide.

SIDE STRUT INSTALLATION

Struts are positioned between end rafter and first interior

rafter at each corner. Gather parts:
•  Struts (QH1304)
•  Band Clamps (QH1404) and Tek Screws (FA4482B)

Complete these steps to install struts:
1.  Position side strut between one end rafter leg and leg

of the first interior rafter.

Install band clamps if this

was not completed during rafter/frame assembly.

2.  Attach strut to band clamps as shown. Consider

ribbon board and baseboard positions when setting

strut position. Install bolt heads toward the outside of

the frame.

3.  Repeat steps to attach remaining side struts.
4.  After securing struts, drive one Tek screw through

each band clamp into rafter.

Position screws in a

location that will not contact main cover.

5.  Verify each purlin pipe splice is secured with a Tek

screw.

6.  Verify all rafter bolts are tight.
7.  Complete next procedure to anchor the frame.
