Mini-X Installation, Setup & User Manual GRT Avionics
Revision A9 75
Bar Graphs Engine Page
This page features the ability to show a large number of bar graphs. This is provided for builders
who have elected to monitor a larger-than-normal number of items. Most builders will not make
use of this page, but it could be useful if you have multiple fuel tank levels to monitor (or some
other multi-element setup that requires more thorough monitoring).
Statistics Engine Page
This page provides information, some of
it exclusive to GRT Avionics, that is perfect
for evaluating efficiency–especially during
cruise. Featured on this page is “Specific
Fuel Consumption” (read more about it
below), as well as miles per gallon over the
ground. The latter allows you to try various
power settings to make tradeoffs for
speed vs. efficiency at the wind, altitude
and temperature conditions you are
cruising in. The former allows you to verify
that leaning was performed correctly and detect when re-leaning is required. This is our favorite
engine page in cruise. It can change how you fly. Since it includes functions not expected by most
pilots, it can go unappreciated. Take a look the next time you are setting cruise power. You will
find it endlessly fascinating.
