Selecting SP/LP mode (SP-LP)
The Diginotice supports two recording methods with a different
compression of the recorded voice data:
•
SP – Standard Play
Recording in high quality, but higher memory require-
ments for the recorded data. The voice data is recorded in
“WAV” format. Playback is possible with the Microsoft™
Media Player without additional codec.
•
LP – Long Play
Recording in compressed form and therefore reduced
memory requirements. The voice data is recorded in “ASF”
format. The ASF codec provided on the CD is required to
play these files with the Microsoft™ Media Player.
NOTE:
The voice activated recording function (see page 25) is not
available in long play mode.
Use “LP mode” in particular to increase the recording capacity.
•
Press the “MENU” button for about 2 seconds.
o
The first menu item “F-MEM” appears on the
display.
•
Use the buttons on the jog shuttle until you arrive at
the “SP-LP” menu item.
•
Press the “Play/Pause” jog shuttle to set the recording
method.
o
The “SP” or “LP” symbol flashes next to the track
display.
•
Use
or
on the jog shuttle to set the recording
method.
•
Press the “STOP” button to confirm your entry.
•
Press the “STOP” button again to quit the menu.
•
The selected recording method is still shown on the
display.
