Last Station Memory

After having selected a waveband, you will
hear the station last tuned to in this band
(Last-station-memory). Your radio remem-
bers the station you have tuned to before
switching off. When switching on again, you
will hear this station or the radio switches to
CD/CD changer play.

Allocating AM Presets

15 Presets are available in the ”

TUNER AM

”

range.

1. Storing a selected station:

Briefly press the

button. The STORE

sign is visible in the display.

2. Turn the right-hand

control knob to

select the desired memory position (Preset)
1 to 15.

3. Confirm this by pressing the

button

or the right-hand

control knob until the

signal sounds and the display indicates
”

STORED

”.

Selecting AM stations with the
search function

1. Select the ”

TUNER AM

” range (LW/MW) by

repeatedly and briefly pressing the

button until the display indicates ”

TUNER

2. Repeatedly and briefly press the right-hand

control knob until ”

briefly in the display.

3. Turn the right-hand

control knob to start

the search function in the desired direction.

In the AM range (AM-TUNER), the search
function first scans the LW and then the
MW band.

Selecting the CD programme source

Insert a CD with the label up into the CD
compartment or repeatedly and briefly press
the

button until ”

Selecting and repeating a track

Press the right-hand

control knob briefly

and repeatedly until ”

TRACK

” appears in the

display. Then turn the right-hand

control

knob until the display indicates the number of
the desired track.
Turn
to the right: next track
to the left:

preceding track or
repetition of the current track.

Fast scan

Press the right-hand

control knob briefly

and repeatedly until ”

FAST

” appears in the

display.

Turn
to the right: fast forward scan,
to the left:

fast reverse scan.

To return to CD play, turn the control knob in
opposite direction or press it briefly.

Playing tracks in random order
(TRACK RANDOM)

Start track random:
Press the right-hand

control knob until

RND ON

” appears in the display.

End track random:
Press the right-hand

control knob until

”

RND OFF

” appears in the display.

When switching the radio off, this function
will automatically be reset.

Ending CD mode

Briefly press the

button and select

another programme source.

Ejecting the CD

During CD play, briefly press the

button.

The display indicates »

EJECT

« and the CD is

ejected after a few moments.

If the CD is not removed within 15 seconds, it
will be pulled in again for reasons of safety.

If the CD is to be ejected again, you must first
press the

button to switch to CD mode

then press the

button.

During traffic announcements, CD play is
interrupted.
To abort a traffic announcement, briefly
press the

button.

CD Mode

Fast scan

Press the right-hand

control knob until

FAST

” appears in the display.

Turn
to the right: next track
to the left:

preceding track or
repetition of the current track.

To return to CD play, turn the control knob in
opposite direction or press it briefly.

Playing tracks in random order
(TRACK RANDOM)

Start track random:

Abort track random:

When switching the radio off, this function
will automatically be reset.

Ending CD changer mode

another programme source.

The following functions are only possible if
you have connected a suitable CD changer
to your radio. Please also observe the ope-
rating instructions of the CD changer.
On page 21 you will find a list of possible
error messages.

desired CD.

Selecting and repeating a track

Press the right-hand

changer is suitable.

Connecting a DAT player

DAT = Digital Audio Tape
CD = Compact Disc (without CD changer)

If you have not connected a GRUNDIG CD
changer to your radio, you can connect
a DAT player (or an external CD player) via a
GRUNDIG CDP adapter (order No G.IG 71-
00).

Activating DAT mode (AUX mode)

Repeatedly and briefly press the

button

until ”

AUX

” appears in the display.

Operation of the connected units is directly
controlled on the units themselves. Please
observe the technical data and the opera-
ting instructions of the units used.
The maximum output voltage is not
allowed to exceed 2 V

During traffic announcements, DAT play is

DAT Mode

To make car radio operation as easy as possi-
ble, numerous settings that you need only
once or occasionally are located in an additio-
nal control level (EXPERT).
