Explanations
When you select the “country”, the ATS
euro plus tuning function searches for
and stores those stations that broad-
cast in the respective country.
You can choose from different coun-
tries.
If your country is not included in the list
of countries, select the “??” setting.
4. Starting the ATS euro plus tuning
function

The ATS euro plus tuning function
starts.

of the recorder.
The scrolling symbol

in the dis-
play of the recorder indicates that the
re-corder is searching.
The recorder searches for all channels
on which TV stations are broadcasting,
sorts those channels which are found,
and stores them.
After a brief interval, the recorder com-
pletes the ATS euro plus tuning func-
tion.
VPS/PDC appears in the display of the
recorder for television stations which
broadcast the VPS signal. The station
identification abbreviation and the Sho-
wView re-ference number are automati-
cally stored by the recorder.
When you receive a programme from a
television station which does not broad-
cast the VPS signal, the following is
displayed in the TV station table:

If your recorder does not properly
execute the ATS euro-plus search
function, move the attenuation
switch to position

Example: for number 5, enter 0 0 5; for
number 15, enter 0 1 5.

For satellite programmes, enter the
station identification abbreviation in
the same programme position as
the ones you set in your satellite
receiver for satellite programmes.
