OPERATION WITH A COMPUTER

Firmware upgrade

On the installation CD there is a software application linked with the player: the
firmware upgrade. Space in the flash memory of the player is reserved for
firmware upgrade application. The application must be installed on the comput-
er for the firmware upgrade.

Note:

All files in the flash memory can be lost during an upgrade of the firmware.
Therefore make back up copies of your files.

Turn on the computer.

Switch on the player and select »Settings« »Firmware upgrade« in the main
menu.

Select »Start«

Connect the player with the computer.
– Information about the firmware is displayed.

Select new firmware and start upgrade. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Note:

Do not disconnect the player from the computer during the process. 
The player’s circuits and firmware could be seriously damaged.

Once the procedure is completed, click on »Close«.
