written permission of Grundig AG (MP3 Player) or of Pontis
Electronic GmbH (software).
The greatest care was taken during the creation of all software pro-
grammes and operating instructions, and they were subsequently
checked for correctness in accordance with the current state of
technology.
Grundig AG recognises no warranty or liability, whether it be
explicit or implicit, for the suitability of the programmes or of the
MP3 player for purposes which deviate from the performance
range described in the operating instructions.
Grundig AG cannot be held responsible for damages which result
directly or indirectly from the use of the MP3 player, of the software
included in the scope of delivery or of the operating instructions, or
for possible subsequent damages or for accidental damages
except in cases of gross negligence or malfeasance.
All liability claims arising from the loss of or damage to hardware

Glossary
Bit rate
data transfer rate, which is required for a
continuous music playback. This is set during
the transformation of music files into the MP3
format. The higher the bit rate, the better the
quality – but also the larger the file.
MP3
file format for music, which was compacted
according to the MPEG2 Layer 3 standard
(or earlier versions of the MPEG standard).

MPEG
Motion Picture Experts Group
MultiMediaCard
memory card with Flash Memory, which can
be re-recorded over 100,000 times.

standard connection for PCs. It is often used
for connecting printers.
ROS Card
(Record on Silicon, e.g. recording on sili-
