Programming of hold-open time
To adapt the motor-driven lock to the on-site situation and customer requirements, the time in
which the latchbolt is held in the "retracted" position after being fully retracted by the motor can be
adjusted.
The locks are supplied with a hold-open time of 2 s by default. This may however not be enough time
to open the door (e.g. barrier-free installations, …). They can therefore be adjusted between 2 and
20 s in 1 s increments.
Programming procedure:
1. Open the door and make sure it cannot be opened and closed accidentally. Turn off daytime
release.
2. Retract the latchbolt via the locking cylinder and hold in the retracted position for at least 5 s; the
lock is now in programming mode.
3. Turn the key back to the removal position and actuate the fitting to obtain the required hold-open
time, one actuation corresponds to a hold-open time of 1 s (e.g. 5 actuations = hold-open time of
5 s).
4. Exit programming mode by actuating the trigger lever in order to bring the latchbolt into the
"locked position". Save the setting.
The programming can be aborted at any time without saving the changes by actuating the locking
cylinder. The hold-open time previously set is retained.
In order still to be able to change the programming after aborting, steps 1-4 must be repeated.
Programming only takes place by actuating the fitting at least 2x in programming mode (hold-open
time set to 2 s) then triggering the latchbolt via the trigger lever. If the lever handle is actuated only
once, the hold-open time does not change, even if the latchbolt is subsequently triggered. The most
recent setting is retained until a new valid value is programmed.
If the lever handle is actuated more than 20 times, only the maximum hold-open time of 20 s is
programmed.
The control signal is not requested during programming. In order to activate the programming mode,
the signal must not be present (motor-driven daytime release, see 3.7).
