DDNS (Dynamic DNS) Settings
Dynamic DNS is a service that maps Internet domain names to IP addresses. This service will
need to be used if you are
NOT
on a
static
(public)
IP address
.
The service we use that is tried and tested is called No-IP. (www.no-ip.com).
**For instructions on how to set up a No-IP account and hostname please refer to
"Setting up a No-IP account." on page 37 + 38.**
**If possible we suggest applying the DDNS information to your router instead of the
DVR. If your router does not support this function this menu is where you will need to
enter the information.**
•
Server
: In this drop down box you will
find three options "orey.net" and
"dyndns.com" and "no-ip.com". You
need to select "no-ip.com".

Username
: Once your No-IP account
has been created you will need to
enter the username you chose in the
username box.

Password
: Once your No-IP account
has been created the password you
create for your account will be entered
here.
•
Auto Login
: This option will need to be "ticked".
•
Domain
: The domain name will be the hostname you created that will be linked with your
dynamic IP address. The domain hostname will be entered in this box.
•
Click SAVE before exiting this menu.
