Burden lifting with a haul-back block 

 

 The limit switch does not work when the cable reel 

is operated with a haul-back block! Make sure the haul-
back block does not arrive to the cable reel nearer than 
20 cm. 

 

1. 

Unscrew the haul-back block. 

2. 

Put cable to the haul-back block. 

3. 

Screw the haul-back block together again and tighten 
the screws. 

4. 

Tie the lifted burden to the burden hook. 

 

Disposal 

 
The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the 
appliance or its package. The description of the meanings can 
be found in the “Marking“ section. 
 

Transport package disposal

 

The package protects the appliance against damage during 
transport. Packing materials are usually chosen depending on 
their environmental friendliness and disposal method and can 
therefore be recycled. Returning the package to material 
circulation saves raw materials and reduces waste disposal 
costs. Parts of packages (e.g. foils, styropor®) can be 
dangerous to children. 

Risk of suffocation!

packages away from children and dispose them as soon as 
possible. 
 

Handling requirements 

 

The operating staff must carefully read the Operating 
Instructions before using the appliance. 
 

Qualification 

 

Apart from the detailed instruction by a professional no 
special qualification is necessary for using the appliance. 
 

Minimum age 

 

Only persons over 16 years of age can work with the 
appliance. An exception includes youngsters if they work 
within their professional education the purpose of which is to 
obtain knowledge supervised by a trainer. 
 

Training  

 

Using the appliance only requires corresponding training by a 
professional or following of the Operating Instructions. No 
special training is necessary.

Transport and storing 

 

  

When storing, it is necessary that the appliance is  

 put to a dry place, inaccessible to children and 
unauthorised persons. Clean the appliance 
thoroughly before longer putting out of operation. 

 

Assembly and preparation  
 
Installation  

 

When unpacking your cable reel, make sure the supply 
includes all parts and check the state of the reel and 
accessories if not faulty. To ensure guarantee validity, 
any claim needs to be reported immediately after your 
product is supplied. 

 

Please read thoroughly the Operating Instructions 
supplied with the cable reel (this manual) and proceed 
exactly according to the specified information when 
installing the cable reel. 

 

The structural part the cable reel is to be fixed to must 
be able to bear at least the double value of the expected 
burden (consultation with an expert recommended). 

 

The cable reel is especially mounted to a steel tubular 
bail arm. The used steel tube must have a diameter of 
43 mm and its wall must be min. 3 mm thick. 

 

The bail arm must be firmly anchored in the wall. 
Anchoring must be stable to stand up to generated 
forces. 

 

Make sure the appliance is always fixed horizontally and 
never awry. 

 

If a haul-back block is used hang the burden hook (d) to 
the hook holder (j) and bracket (o). 

 

Putting the electric cable reel into operation 
 

Step 1 

Make sure the system voltage corresponds to the voltage on 
the type label of the cable reel. 
 

Step 2 

Check the steel cable and all safety devices of the cable reel. 

 

Step 3  

Check whether the cable reel is installed properly and is able 
to hold the max. lifted burden. 

Step 4 

Secure the burden against turnover and swinging and check 
the supporting members. 
 

Step 5

 

Lift the burden vertically and control it. 
 

Electric cable reel is now ready for operation!
