VERTICAL MODES
Pitch Hold Mode (Basic Pitch)
The basic vertical mode of the system is pitch hold mode. When in
pitch hold mode, the system generates commands to hold the pitch
angle of the aircraft that exists when the mode is selected. When in
pitch hold mode, the VS/pitch wheel (down/up) is used to change the
pitch reference.
