ladders from GÜNZBURGER StEiGtEChNiK are equivalent to DiN EN 131
standard parts and tested and certified (with certification mark) by an independ-
ent testing authority with regard to their safety.
the safety notes provided in the operating instructions and on the product are
to be observed prior to using the ladders. the meaning of the symbols used is
described in more detail in these instructions and in DiN EN 131-3.
Using ladders as elevated work places is only permitted in cases where, due
to low levels of risk and the short period of use, the use of other, safer work
equipment is disproportionate, and a risk assessment suggests work can be
performed safely this way.
the handling instruction (DGUV information sheet 208-016) provides notes on
the regulations of occupational safety legislation, the German Ordinance on
industrial Safety and health, the rules of employers' liability insurance asso-
ciations and the relevant standards which are to be taken into account when
providing and using steps and ladders.
No liability will be assumed for damage caused by improper use.
the German Ordinance on industrial Safety and health (BetrSichV) requires
the repeat inspection of work equipment (ladders) by a person capable of
conducting such inspections. BetrSichV is the German implementation of EU
directive 2009/104/EEC (Work Equipment Directive).
