must be cleaned at the least once a
fortnight. To do this, grip the metal filter
with both hands at the top and bottom
and pull forward until the magnet con-
tact releases. You can now remove the
metal filter. Installation in reverse order.
Cleaning the filters
The stainless steel filter is best cleaned
in the dishwasher or with a mild dish-
washing agent. The manufacturer ac-
cepts no liability whatsoever for any
discolouration caused by the use of ag-
gressive dishwashing agents. Tempera-
tures exceeding 55 degrees Celsius
must be avoided.
Caution
: Do not wash
grease filter together with silver cutlery
in the dishwasher! This leads to destruc-
tion of the grease filter (galvanic ele-
ment, not a complaint claim)
Caution:
Do not use three-phase clean-
ing agents or clean the filter in a com-
mercial dishwasher. Cleaning with ag-
gressive agents such as petrol, acetone,
tri-chlor-ethylene, etc. will destroy the
filters! Refit the metal filters after clean-
ing.
Replacing activated carbon filter
(only for hoods with recirculation, C-Version)
The activated carbon filters bind odours
in kitchen vapour. Depending on strain,
these filters must be replaced or regen-
erated after no more than 3 months. The
activated carbon filter is installed in a
frame to the left and right of the ventila-
tion module in the upper hood body. To
replace it, the metal filters must be taken
out and the hood swivelled down (on
this, see section "
Replacing the metal
filter" + "Lighting replacement"
). For this,
the lower body of the hood must be
swivelled down. Turn out the two screws
at the upper body of the hood and se-
cure the lower body of the hood with
one hand. After removing the two
screws, swivel down the lower body of
the hood slowly. The activated carbon
filters are kept in the upper hood body
with toggle locks. For replacement,
loosen the toggle locks and remove the
activated carbon filters diagonally down-
wards. Installation is performed in re-
verse order. Important: The activated
carbon filter must not be cleaned wet.
See sep. instructions "activated carbon".
