OPERATING YOUR FREEZER
Temperature Control
Your freezer will automatically maintain the temperature level you select. The
temperature control panel has 9 settings including OFF. “1” is the warmest, “Deep” is the
coldest. Set to “5” and allow 24 hours to pass before adjusting the temperature to your
needs.
For faster freezing capability:
The first time you turn the unit on, turn the temperature control knob to “1” and run for
at least 2 hours, then turn to “4”.
(Note: If the freezer has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any
period of time wait 24 hours before plugging the unit in.)

Normal Operating Sounds You May Hear
• Boiling water, gurgling sounds or slight vibrations that are the result of the refrigerant
circulating through the cooling coils.
• The thermostat control will click when it cycles on and off.
NOTE:
• If the unit is unplugged, loses power; you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting
the unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay, the freezer will not start.
• Large amounts of food will lower the cooling efficiency of the appliance.
• Do not place the foods on the air outlet, and leave spaces for airflow.
• If you choose to change the thermostat setting, adjust thermostat control by one
increment at a time. Allow several hours for temperature to stabilize between
adjustments.
