Helpful hints/energy saving
Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Install the appliance in a suitable position with an adequate distance from sources of heat and
cold.
Protect the appliance from direct sunlight.
Allow ample storage place for your food. Do not overfill your appliance.
Try opening the door as little as possible, especially when the weather is warm and humid. If you
open the door, close it as fast as possible.
Permanently check, that the appliance is well-ventilated. The appliance has to be well-ventilated
from all sides.
Set the temperature control from a high to a low position as soon as it is possible. This depends
on the amount of contents and the room temperature.
Encrusted ice causes a higher energy consumption. Defrost encrusted ice if its diameter is more
than 3 mm (1/8 “).
Occasionally clean the rear of your appliance with a brush or a vacuum cleaner to avoid an
increased energy consumption.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains if you do not operate it.
Always keep the door seals clean and in a proper condition.

Clean the appliance at least once a month.
1. Always keep the appliance clean so that unpleasant odours do not occur.
2. Dust deposits on the condenser will increase the energy consumption. Clean the condenser
twice a year with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.
3. Take off all rings and bracelets before cleaning or maintaining the appliance; otherwise you
will damage the surface of the appliance.
