Firmware Update
Background
The GDS-200/GDS-300 firmware can be
upgraded by copying the new firmware to the
internal memory and installing it.
New firmware can be downloaded on the GW
Instek website.
1.
From the Utility menu set the USB device port
to Disk Drive. See page 102 for details.
2.
The GDS-200/300 will be accessible to the
windows file explorer. Copy the firmware file
to the root directory of the GDS-200/GDS-300.
3.
From the Utility menu set the USB device port
back to the Communication setting.
4.
From the File Manager, select the firmware file
(tap the file name). See page 139 for details.
5.
From the popup window select OK to update.
Do not turn the scope off during the
update.
If using the battery power, ensure that
there is adequate power before starting
the update.
6.
Cycle the power off and on after being
prompted.
