3 or 4 Digit SMD Resistor Standards
For 3 or 4 digit SMD codes, the first 2 or 3 digits represent the base
value and the last digit represents the multiplier. The letter R is
used as a decimal point.
Example1: The code 220 equals 22Ω.
Example2: The code 12R0 equals 12.0Ω.
EIA-96 Code
The EIA-96 standard is a 3 letter code. The first 2 digits codify a
base value and the last digit is a letter that codifies a multiplier.
EIA-96 code is used for tolerances of 1%.
