Not to be used by anyone with a pacemaker.
Always follow all instructions for storage, use and
connection of electrodes carefully.
Always check all cables and clamps before use.
Wear suitable overalls and welding gloves, and
always use the screen.
Ensure adequate fume extraction when welding in
small or enclosed spaces.
Never look directly at the welding flame without
appropriate protective goggles or welding screen.
Check any other personnel near the welding
machine when in use are similarly protected and
are aware of the safety instructions.
Remove the electrode from the electrode holder
when not in use.
Never use the machine for thawing cables or pipes.
Check all welds.
Preparation
Insert plug in mains socket (mains circuit must
have a 10 A fuse).
Connect cables (3) from electrode holder (4) and
earth clamp (5) to welding machine. Whether
electrode holders are to be connected to positive
(10) or negative (11) jacks depends on type of
electrode to be used and task.
Switch on by turning potentiometer (7) to
required position (position 0 = off). Current diode
(8) will light.
Use
Secure item to be welded to allow easy access for
welding - i.e. from above and down.
Weld in accordance with general rules and
procedures.
Remove slag and welding material regularly using
the slag hammer (6).
Allow machine to cool off while still connected
to mains.

In the event of overload, the thermal circuit-
breaker will trip. Overload diode (9) will light.
Allow machine to cool off for approx. 5 minutes
before recommencing use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Remove dust and dirt from the machine with
compressed air.
Check electrical connections regularly with an
insulated probe.
