Volume control
Any audio signal present at the RTX terminals can be monitored on the LT51
speaker.
When graphical information is being displayed, the speaker volume control is
accessed by depressing the knob or pressing the key. During display of
DMM functions, rotating the knob will access the volume control.
The current volume setting is displayed as a bar graph. Rotating the knob
clockwise will increase the volume. The speaker can be turned off by rotating the
knob counter-clockwise until no more bars are visible. This is recommended to
save battery power when not in use.
Adjusting the contrast of the LCD
To adjust the contrast of the LCD, complete the following:
Press the key, followed by the [f3] “LT51 Settings” soft-key.
Press the [f5] “Contrast” soft-key.
Turn the knob clockwise to increase, or anti-clockwise to reduce, the
contrast of the LCD.
This value is permanently stored in the LT51’s non-volatile memory.
Turning the backlight on and off
When you use the LT51 in low ambient light conditions, you can turn on the
white LED backlight. To toggle the backlight on and off, press the key.
To save battery power, the backlight should only be used when necessary.
Switch-Off timeout
The automatic switch-off timeout is set ON by default when the LT51 is powered
on. It can be disabled by:
Press the key, followed by the [f3] “LT51 Settings” soft-key.
Toggle the auto switch-
off by pressing the [f4] ”Auto OFF” soft-key.
With Auto OFF set to ON, a warning message is displayed after 10 minutes of
inactivity (ie. no key press) . If there is still no activity for a further 2 minutes, the
LT51 will automatically power off.
