6. THE DISPLAY
LED 1: The mains voltage is present.
LED 2: The battery is charging.
LED 3: The battery is being checked or tested.
LED 4: The battery is being recharged (trickle charge).
LED 5: The battery is fully charged and can be disconnected from the charger.
LED 6: The charging mode
"Pb"
is selected. (Mode for rechargeable
lead acid batteries).
LED 7: The charge mode
"Li-Ion"
is selected.
(Rechargeable lithium-ion battery mode)
LED 8: Error - The battery is connected to the charger with reverse polarity.
LED 9 (flashing): Error - The battery voltage is above 14.3 V.
LED 9 and LED 2 (flashing): Error - A deeply discharged battery could not
reach a voltage higher than 4 V within 24 hours.
LED 9 and LED 3 (flashing): Error - The battery has been rated as "defective"
by the charger.
ATTENTION:
If the charger does not switch to "trickle charging mode"
after a longer charging time, the following reasons may be the cause:
• Due to age, the connected battery has a permanent leakage current of
more than 300 mA.
• The battery is charged in a vehicle and internal consumers are drawing a
permanent current.
