inStallation – Make SUre yoU haVe the correct polarity.
The solar charge controller must be mounted near by the battery and pro-
tected from weather. It is important to make sure that the battery is housed in a
well-ventilated area. For function and ventilation the controller should be moun-
ted with the terminals facing down. To be able to use the protective functions
of the solar battery charger fully, the controller must be connected to the solar
generator, the battery and the consumers.
All system components, including the solar generator, lead batteries, solar con-
trollers and consumers need to be coordinated in their voltage. Check before
installing! If you have any doubt, ask your dealer!

1 connecting the battery
The solar charge controller is connected to the battery with the terminals that
have the battery symbol left and right of the fuse. Make sure that the connection
has the correct polarity. The battery connection cable „+“ is connected to the
positive terminal of the battery, the battery connector cable „–“ is connected to
the negative terminal of the battery.
To keep the voltage drop and the heat development in the cable low, a 2.5 –
4 mm gauge wire is recommended. An additional fuse is not needed when
short circuit proof cables are used. If not, a fuse should be added to the positive
terminal of the battery to prevent a short circuit in the cable. Both components
must be installed in the same room with a small distance in between them.
2 connecting the Solar MoDUle
Make absolutely sure that the solar module is protected from light and not
producing any current (this can be achieved by fully covering it or connecting
it after sunset). Make sure that the solar module does not exceed the maximum
input power of the solar battery charger. First the solar module connection ca-
ble „+“ is connected to the „+“ of the left triple terminal (left of the solar charge
controller with the solar panel symbol). Then the negative lead „–“ is connected
to the middle connector of the same triple terminal. Only now may the cover be
removed from the solar module.
