6.5.1 Upgrading an Application Using FTP on the BootWare Menu

Set up an FTP upgrade environment.

Firewall servers as the FTP client, and PC serves as the FTP server.
z
Connect the Ethernet interface GigabitEthernet 0/0 on the firewall to the PC using
a crossover Ethernet cable.
z
Enable FTP Server on PC and set the path where the application file is stored.
z
Set the FTP username and password.
Caution:
z
The FTP server software is not included in the F1000-E firewall package. You need
to purchase and install it by yourself.
z
You can upgrade the applications of the F1000-E through GigabitEthernet 0/0 only.
For steps 2 through 4, refer to the corresponding steps in TFTP upgrading.
